Crime laboratory analysts apply the principles of genetics, biochemistry and molecular biology to their work and use several and to help wrongly accused people. The reason why im am so interested in being a crime lab analyst or DNA analysis is because I really want to help solve crimes and help bring family’s that were involved or victims of any crime justice and closer. The strategy’s I plan to use is continuing my education by first receiving my BA in Criminal Justice and then going on to getting my Masters and continue my education all the way til I receive a P. Crime scene investigators are in charge of investigating crime scenes, collecting and analyzing evidence, and testifying in court when needed. The skills needed for Crime scene investigators are similar to the previous job I stated before. You have to have good commutation skills oral and written. And you have to have great critical thinking skills to be successful in being a crime scene investigator. Also A good investigator has the ability to notice things–to take in the totality of a given room or space and identify as many details as possible. This includes obvious crime scene elements like bloodstain patterns or the marks used on an open safe as well as more subtle elements like an tilted picture in the house of a compulsive neat freak or a brand of cigarette in the ashtray that no one in the household smokes. A good memory can serve the investigator well too, allowing the investigator to conjure up details of the crime scene after the fact at a point when they may be useful. What skills I believe would be helpful in succeeding in this criminal justice field is critical thinking and also an good sense of detail. The skills I listed before are highly related to the professional goals that I hope to succeed in the future because they are all well needed in being successful in being a crime scene investigator.
