Why should i recieve this scholarship

I am Ciara Mauldin and I am applying for your Available Scholarship at Fortis College, which is the Lindsey Nicholson Memorial Scholarship Fund. Mr. LaBarron Evans came to Mattie T. Blount High School and spoke with my class about college decisions, and also mentioned that he was the Assistant Director of Admissions at Fortis College. I spoke with him one on one; he encouraged me to come take a visit at Fortis College. I am now going to tell you “ Why I Want to join Fortis College. ” On your web page as you all described that four year colleges are not for everybody, that you all prepare students with the education they need for success in life, and to reach the goals they are trying to reach. I don’t think a four year college would be for me at all because I need a smaller environment, where I won’t get distracted as much, and a smaller population. The program is much faster, only eight months. I am only 17 now; I will be 18 when I graduate on March 14th, 2014 from Fortis College, which is great and better for me. Well, I personally I think that Fortis College would be the best choice for me, I feel that it is a great college. I am reaching to be in the Medical Field that has been my goal for plenty of years. I’ve always wanted to attend in the Medical field every since elementary school, because I figure it’s a good choice. Everyone will always need medical attention due to cure for different sicknesses, illness, and diseases and one day in life and I look forward of being there to help the people in their needs. I don’t only want to be an X-Ray Technician I would love to come back to Fortis College after I graduate for Pharmacy Technician. I went to the campus as a little visit I didn’t see as much but I enjoyed my visit I watched a class of students a give X-Ray, I talked with the Director of Medical X-Ray Technology, Ms. Holly Thornton. I enjoyed the products she and her class showed me at my visit. My grandmother Genevie Mauldin attended Fortis College to receive her Instructor license as a cosmetologist, and returned as an Instructor at the campus on Azalea road in Mobile Alabama Dumas Wesley Community center is my community, and after I achieve my goals I plan on giving back to the community. I went there as a kid and as I grew up older enough I did community service for them, helping babysitters, watching middle age children, being a chaperone on field trips, and at camps. Dumas Wesley was there for me and my family when I went through Hurricane Katrina, Katrina left me and my family to nothing and that’s when Dumas Wesley came through and helped my family out. We received new bikes, game systems, TV’s, Board games clothes, which we thought was so nice and helpful. My brother gave back to Dumas Wesley, I am following his footsteps I plan on doing the same, he was in the newspaper for it and more. My brother is a graduated X-Ray Technician from Remington College, He works at USA Hospital, I shadow him in his department. It was a great experience for me, I am looking forward to being a part of the medical field.
